Sarah was elected to the council to represent the Bathavon North ward in 2019 and appointed as the Cabinet Member for Climate Emergency and Neighbourhood Services at the council’s AGM of that year. In this role, Sarah led on the implementation of Bath’s Clean Air Zone, the first such charging zone outside London, In May 2021, Sarah became Deputy Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Climate Emergency and Sustainable Travel.
Sarah graduated in the autumn of 2018 from the MSc course in Sustainability and Adaptation Planning, at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales. Her key priority on the council has been to show leadership in delivering the council’s declaration of a climate and nature emergency.
She previously worked as a NHS Information manager and has been a resident of Batheaston for twenty years.
