Join national government, local leaders and the private sector in Stoke-on-Trent to discuss the role of public-private partnerships in housing delivery, culture-led regeneration, reaching net zero, and unlocking skills and innovation in the UK.
Speakers have been confirmed:
- Welcoming remarks from Jon Rouse CBE, Chief Executive of Stoke City Council, Cllr Louise Gittins, Chair of the Local Government Association and Cllr John Merry, Chair of the Key Cities network.
- Emma Fraser, MHCLG’s Director for Housing Markets and Strategy, Cllr Lorna Fielker from Southampton City Council, Cllr Michael Mordey, Leader of Sunderland City Council and Guy Ackernley, Managing Director at Urban Splash will address housing.
- Leanne Tritton, co-founder of Don’t Waste Buildings and Gareth Bradford, Director of Strategic Business Development for The Crown Estate and Patrick Allcorn from the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero will explore how cities can integrate sustainability in regeneration and reduce carbon emissions by 2035.
- Martyn Evans, Creative Director at Landsec U+I, Katie Adams from Jacobs and Matt Ainsworth from Salford City Council will focus on developing skills locally, as a means to drive economic growth
- Professor Shirley Congdon, Vice Chancellor at Bradford University, Cllr Jemima Laing, Plymouth’s Deputy Leader and Key Cities culture lead, and Salford City Council’s Darren Grice will address cultural-led regeneration projects that attract investment while protecting cultural heritage.
