Jeremy Hilton is the leader of Gloucester City Council. He is a member of the Liberal Democrat group and has served on the council for a total of 30 years. He is also the cabinet member for regeneration.
He was born in Gloucester and went to school in the city and have lived within 8 miles of Gloucester Cathedral all his life. He ran an import business most recently before retiring to be more active in local politics.
Jeremy is a member of Gloucestershire County Council, where he chairs the fire service scrutiny committee. He also served as the chair of the LGA’s fire service management committee for a few years.
He has served on the board of Gloucestershire Airport as the vice-chair and then as the chair.
