Bath & North East Somerset Council is here to improve the lives of the 193,000 residents who live in Bath (a twice-listed UNESCO World Heritage Site), our market towns of Keynsham, Midsomer Norton and Radstock, and our diverse and vibrant rural communities. Combining  a rich history, culture and heritage (we have 6000 listed buildings) with innovative finance, engineering and technology, our area is at the heart of the West of England and Western Gateway.

Our Future Ambition Board brings together key local partners and businesses, including our two Universities (we are home to 18,000 students) to ensure our area is fair, green, creative and connected. With the first charging clean air zone outside of London and the council allocating £38m over the next five years to projects designed to tackle the climate and ecological emergency, we are gearing up for a clean, green, high-tech future.
